2008 Olympics Or Pinoy Big Brother?

Yep! Some of the Philippines athletes have chosen to stick it out with their chosen sports while another has chosen a different path to fame. Frequent Taekwondo International campaigners Alexander Briones, Kristie Elaine Alora and Mary Antoinette Rivera have chosen to pursue their dream of Olympic gold alongside already Olympic qualifier Tshomlee Go. They get their chance to qualify at the Asian Qualifying Tourament in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam on November 28-30. Tshomlee Go, who qualified for the Olympics by placing third in the under 58 kg. category of the recently concluded 2007 ATF competition in Manchester england, will be joining them for moral support and as a trainer.

On the other hand, previous co-campaigner Donald Geisler who like Go competed in the 2004 Atens Olympics, chose to put his sparring vest down for the meantime and let "kuya" play him like a toy in the Pinoy Big Brother House. Donald and his brother Baron have recently been in the spotlight in the Pinoy Big Brother House as they have been making serious decisions on their fate inside. It be a surprise if Donald gets further to the finals of this celebrity show.

Maybe it would have been best if he just stuck it out with his Taekwondo team mates to try and get honors for the Philippines in the 2008 Olympics. He's in his prime at 28 years old but is he retired? Your guess is as good as mine.
