The Chinese women's soccer team has finally fallen and ended their campaign for the 2007 FIFA women's soccer world cup. It was Norway who dealt them their exit pass by beating the Chinese 1-0. It was Isabell Herlovsen's lone 32nd-minute strike that sealed the win for Norway and the Chinese weren't able to score a single goal in this match.
It was the Chinese who had control of most of the match though. They had 11 more shots compared to only 8 by the Norwegians. Player of the match Ane Stangeland Horpestad and the rest of the Norwegian soccer team ensured that China's "12th man" on the field did not play any part of the match. The hometown crows was silenced for the match especially during the possibility of the Chinese going down 2-0. The Chinese saved the goal though.
