Australian Women's Soccer Team Bows Out of 2007 FIFA World Cup

The Australia Matildas fought back from being down 2-0 and leveled the contest at 2-all but a brilliant strike by Brazilian soccer player Cristiane sealed the fate of the Australian women's soccer team for this Soccer World Cup.

The Selecao will now face the American women's soccer team in the next stage of knock-out semifinals in China. This year's women's world cup of soccer is an Olympic qualifier competition. Click here for the full story.
