Olympic Pandas?

Are the Chinese going a little overboard with the whole Olympics hosting bit? It may be the case when they just have shipped 8 giant pandas to the Beijing Zoo from the Sichuan province.

Allegedly, the original home of these cute and cuddly pandas got damaged because of the recent big earthquake and needed to be put somewhere else where it is safe and more obviously serve as additional motivation and reason for high hopes in the midst of mourning following the tectonic disaster.

These 8 pandas are just a few of the 53 kept in captivity by their original home in Woolong. Among the rest of the pandas living in their zoo, 6 went missing and 2 were injured after the catastrophe struck China.

All's well I guess. As if having the cartoon symbols the Chinese have already laid out months in pre by the Beijing Olympics committee.
