The English women's Soccer team will move on to the next round of competition via one-sided victory over their South American counterparts, the Argentinian women's soccer team. Team England virtually cruised through the game by building up a strong lead on the first minutes of play & protecting with their defense throughout the game. Kelly Smith, Vicky Exley, Casey Stoney, Fara Williams & Player of the Match Kelly Smith scored the goals for Team England while the lone point for the Argentinians came from Eva Gonzalez.
The two teams are now headed to separate directions in the competition. The English wome's soccer team will be headed for the quarterfinals against the top finishers of Group B while the loser Argentinians are headed home.
