The Chinese did it! Not only beating New Zealand in this match but also overtook Team Denmark to land themselves in second place of the standing for group D. Chinese soccer players' Li Jie and Xie Caixia both scored a goal each which was enough for them to advance to the quarterfinals knock-out phase against Norway.
