Weird Chinese Food menu gets The axe

Some of the weirdest, funniest & not to mentioned the most unappetizing food menu in the world has been ordered renamed by the Chinese government in China. This is preparation for the Beijing 2008 Olympic games.

Samples of the weirdest Chinese food selections include: Shredded documents with Hoisin sauce, Squished Eel delight, Peking Daffy duck, aromatic Octopus on wheels, Force Fed Shrimp, Roast Pork Puppy Chow, Sweet & Salmonella soup,Barbecued Bear Ribs, Vegetables with Tingling Horse Flavor, Cold Noodles in Sesame Waste, Eggplant prepared under mysterious circumstances, Crispy fish with Discarded needle. These are actual dishes on a Chinese menu.

Just as the Chinese are gearing everything up for the Olympics, they are also making food menus, street signs and others friendly for the tourists next year for the Olympics.

The names of Chinese dishes have combined cultural and artistic elements in them, some with historical, geographical and political background, some with origins from Chinese fairy tales and folk tales. Often the dishes are named with stories understood only by people who know their culture well. Translators have divided the dish names into four ways: named by materials, by cooking method, by tastes, by name of a person or a place.

The waiters & waitresses will also be trained to explain just in case people ask. I hope we don't get too unappetized & end up in McDonald's. LOL
