Chinese Taekwondo jin Wu Jingyu, the 2007 world champion of the women's 51 kilogram division is going to definitely be pressured to perform better at the 2008 Olympic Taekwondo competition. After failing to win Gold in both local and international competitions recently, the whole of China might as well be on her shoulders when she competes with the world's best at the sport come August 2008. The lone Chinese women hopeful at the 51 kg. division will face the likes of Yang Shujun of Chinese Taipei who beat her last Saturday for the championship.
Ofcourse, you can count on powerhouse Korea to bring their best on the Olympics Taekwondo floor. There's also other upstarts from different countries like L.L.Catalan of the Philippine and Kwon Eun Kyung of South Korea who can definitely keep up with the rest of the competition.
Many watchful eyes will be on Wu this August. Hopefully, the third one is a charm and she won't see disappointed looks from her own people.
