2007 FIBA Americas Womens Basketball Championship - An Olympic Qualifier for Women's Basketball

Valdivia, Chile will be host to the 2007 FIBA Americas Womens Basketball Championship in September 26 to 30 2007. This is an Olympic Qualifying event which will determine a lone qualifier from the Americas zone for women's basketball. Teams participating are the U.S.A, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Argentina, Mexico, Cuba and Canada. For the teams who will not qualify for the 2008 Olympics in this event, there will be another chance for them to qualify and participate in next year's Olympics in the 2008 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying tournament that will be held on une 9 to 15 2008.
