Prague For The 2016 Summer Olympics Games

Just days before the September 13 deadline for submission of entries. The Prague of Czech Republic has joined a strong line-up of Cities bidding to host the 2016 Summer Olympics. Prague Mayor Pavel Bem and Czech Olympic Committee chairman Milan Jirasek both finalized the city's intent to host & also unveiled the logo for The Prague bid for the 2016 Olympics. The logo consists of green numbers in the year 2016 shaped like a laurel branch as a symbol of victory. If successful, it will be the first time The Prague's first time to host the Summer Olympics after their unsuccessful bid in 1924 which Paris won.

Though Prague has entered the Olympics hosting race, Officials say The Prague's bid has a very slim chance given that London will be hosting the 2012 Summer Olympics & it would be highly unlikely that the IOC will have 2 European cities will host the Olympic Games consecutively. Instead, they are hoping it will strengthen their bid for the 2020 Summer Olympic Games.
