Canada Black Queens blank Team Ghana in the FIFA Women's World Cup 4-0

Christine Sinclair, the player of the match, powered Canada Women's Soccer Team to a decisive 4-0 today in Hangzhou's Dragon Stadium Wuhan, China. Christine Sinclair got help from Sophie Schmidt and Martina Franko who scored 1 goal each but it was Sinclair who dealt the serious problems for Anita Amankwa's Team Ghana. The Canada Black Queens will be carefully watching tonight's match between Australia against Norway at 8PM while Ghana's women's team is slowly slipping away from their chances of continuing their exploits in this year's FIFA Women's World Cup in China.

Here's the Canada Black Queens roster: Karina LEBLANC, Kristina KISS, Melanie BOOTH, Robyn GAYLE, Andrea NEIL, Tanya DENNIS, Rhian WILKINSON, Diana MATHESON, Candace-Marie CHAPMAN, Martina FRANKO, Randee HERMUS, Christine SINCLAIR, Amy WALSH, Melissa TANCREDI, Kara LANG, Katie THORLAKSON, Brittany TIMKO, Erin MC LEOD, Sophie SCHMIDT, Taryn SWIATEK, Jodi-Ann ROBINSON

Sinclair strikes as Canada cruise - Canada grabbed a China 2007 lifeline and edged Ghana closer to the FIFA Women's World Cup exit door with a Christine Sinclair-inspired 4-0 win at Hangzhou's Dragon Stadium. Goals from Sophie Schmidt and Martina Franko on 55 and 77 minutes added to Sinclair's clinicically-taken double and left the Black Queens to pray for an Australian win tonight, which would at the very least delay a third successive first-round exit. As for Even Pellerud's side, they will definitely live to fight another day after dominating a match they led from just after the quarter-hour mark, when Gladys Enti just could not get enough of a touch to prevent Sinclair's looping header crossing the line.
